Your account
Delete your account
Everything goes: your attempts, your notes, your progress, your chats with Nia. There is no restore and no grace period. We email you a link first, so nobody else can do this to your account.
You do not need us
Deleting your account does not require a request, a reason, or our agreement. There is nothing to ask for and nobody to wait for.
It takes seconds, it refunds you automatically if you are inside the seven-day window, and it cannot be undone.
There are two ways to do it:
- In the app — Profile → Delete my account. It happens immediately.
- On this page — enter your email address in the form below and we will send you a one-time link.
The link works once and expires in two hours. We send it because anyone can type an email address, and only you can read your inbox.
Whatever you type, we always say the same thing: "if there is an account with that address, we have sent it a link." We will not tell a stranger whether you have a NAADI AI account. Most of our students are children.
What we ask before you go
Four short questions about why you are leaving.
Every one can be skipped, none of them changes anything, and no answer is required to delete your account. We ask because it is the only chance we get to find out why people leave. Anything you type is limited to 200 characters.
What disappears
Permanently, with no restore and no grace period:
- every test and paper you have attempted, and every answer in them
- your notes and your notebooks
- your progress, your mastery scores, your streak and your rank
- your conversations with Nia
- your account itself — you will be signed out everywhere, immediately
We cannot undo this. There is no backup we can go to, no support ticket that recovers it, and no version of this where you change your mind next week. If you only want to stop paying, ask for a refund instead — you keep everything.
What happens to your money
If you are inside the seven-day refund window, every eligible payment comes back to you automatically as part of the same step. You will see the exact amount on screen before you confirm.
If the window has passed, deleting ends the access you paid for and refunds nothing. We will tell you that plainly before you confirm, with the amounts.
If you have unpaid referral earnings, you will be asked to choose: be paid first and delete later, or delete now and give them up. Deleting is always available immediately.
If a refund cannot be processed for a technical reason, the deletion stops and nothing is removed. That is not us refusing to let you leave — once the account is gone we have no account to pay into and no way to reach you, so we would rather stop and settle it properly. Write to support@naadiai.in.
Who we tell
If you start deleting your account, we tell a guardian linked to you and the teachers of your class — by email and in their app — that you have begun, and again once it is done. The message names you. Your guardian is told what the deletion would cost financially; your teachers are not.
Nobody can stop you. It is a notification, not a request for permission, and it never waits for a reply. If you close the screen without going ahead, the in-app message is withdrawn — though the email has already been sent and cannot be recalled.
We do this because a parent may have paid, and because a student who vanishes from a class list with no explanation is one a teacher goes looking for.
What we keep, and for how long
Five things outlive the account. They are listed in full in our Privacy Policy, §10.6. In short:
| An anonymised payment record — amount, date, plan. Your name, email and phone are stripped. | 8 years, for tax |
| A deletion record — your user id, name and the date | 24 months, then purged |
| One line naming you on your guardian's and your class's notice board | Until dismissed |
| Your messages in shared conversations with a teacher, with your name replaced by "Deleted student" | Kept, anonymised |
| Any safety report made about you | Kept |
If your school paid for your account
You can still delete it — that right is yours whoever paid. But there is no refund, to you, to your parent, or to the school, because you did not buy the licence.
Your school is told that the account has been deleted, because the seat it paid for is no longer in use.
If you change your mind later, your school can ask us to give you the seat again within the same academic year. You would be starting a new, empty account — nothing that was deleted can come back.
Teachers
Teacher accounts are not deleted this way. A teacher's account owns classes, conversations and notes belonging to other people, so deleting it instantly would orphan all three. Send the request from your profile and we will action it by hand within seven working days, and confirm by email.
